Clinton Soffer has worked for four of the national Republican campaign committees and has managed campaigns for federal, state and local offices. He most recently served as the Deputy Political Director of the Republican Governors Association for the 2020, 2021, and 2022 cycles. He was named 40 under 40 by the American Association of Political Consultants.

 

In 2019, Clinton was the Campaign Manager for Tate Reeves for Governor. The campaign raised and spent over $14 million, had 30 professional staff and over 150 canvassers on the ground that knocked on over 400,000 doors. Tate Reeves won a competitive primary and runoff and defeated Democrat Attorney General Jim Hood 52-47%.

 

Clinton worked for the NRSC during the 2016 and 2018 cycles. In 2016, Clinton served as the national field director, helping campaigns build and execute paid canvassing efforts. In 2018 he served as a Regional Political Director, overseeing seven states.

 

In 2014, Clinton served as Political Director for Cory Gardner’s Senate campaign. He managed all political and field operations, overseeing a $1.8 million program with over 500 paid canvassers working out of 14 field offices, canvassing over 1.7 million homes. These efforts helped then-congressman Cory Gardner defeat incumbent Senator Mark Udall by 1.9%.

 

Prior to joining Senator Gardner’s campaign, Clinton served as the California State Director for the RNC. Clinton got his start on political campaigns in California back in 2006.

 

Clinton is a graduate of University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He lives with his wife and daughter in northern Virginia.
